Persistent and progressive dilation of bronchi or bronchioles (tubes leading
into and branching throughout the lung) as a consequence of inflammatory
disease (lung infections), obstruction (tumor) or congenital abnormality
(such as cystic fibrosis). Symptoms include fetid breath and paroxysmal
coughing. |
